Remind me again, why do I waste time with YouTube?

Stunning and something YouTube might support in another 4 years, if bogus 4K doesn't do it for them. The video below is not mine, mainly because I've been spending far too much time self-destructing. Now that my eyesight is probably going, maybe it's time for a change?

I think the answer to the original question, "Wny do I waste time with YouTube?" must be similar to the motives of rubber-neckers on the highway and other forms of schadenfreude, which certainly doesn't leave me feeling any better about myself, but then, what can you do?

Time for changes

Following various advice received we'll be reshooting old designs and putting together individual, single prim vendors for outfits and variations of our present roster of designs. We'll also be making a decision to simplify design and ownership/permissions options.

Hopefully a redesign of the store will also create some impetus for new designs. Further updates once decisions have been made. Leaning for now towards mod/copy or maybe mod/transfer.

Core YouTubez

Still not the quality of vimeo, but this player accesses slightly more video. While YouTube has its share of problems, it remains the site everyone knows, and the one where you can get more random exposure without trying too hard, than just about anywhere. Of course, so can anyone and everyone else. So it becomes harder and harder to cut through the noise.

This gadget now shows my main "channel" in a somewhat odd way, not reflecting much the way that I've structured the channel to emphasize some items. Instead it seems to show the most recent uploads. But it can be used as a portal to the channel on YouTube itself, almost constantly in flux.

(It's probably simpler to find the location from my own Picks list. At least as long as SL continues to discriminate against mainland sims by making the SLURL page look like you're teleporting into the middle of an ocean. Still, despite the scary view, the SLURL will get you there too.)

Azadine in Second Life

I do a DJ gig in Second Life, where I go by the avatar name of Azadine Umarov. I have an art gallery there, among other things. You may have been referred to this page by my link from Sasun Steinberg's network of kiosks and her sources of information on art in Second Life.

My regular gig is at the Velvet on Fridays, running from 6 to 8 p.m. (Pacific Time). I also play from 7 to 9 (or later) at the Crow's Foot on Wednesdays.
